Artwork Tips

 

Posh & Promo knows that submitting custom artwork or logos for custom decorated apparel and promotional product decoration can be a confusing process, especially if you are not a graphic designer. Below, we do our best to simplify that process by giving you the information that you and your graphic designer will need to provide high resolution artwork. Don't worry if you can't figure it out, Posh and Promo also provides graphic design and illustrating services for just $60 per hour!

If, after reading the following section, you are unsure whether your art meets our requirements, please feel free to email your graphic files to Posh and Promo. All artwork consultations about what is needed are free however if we have to prepare your art, digitize physical art, typeset copy etc. then that's when we will give you a quote for art time. High resolution art files are needed for all custom screen printing, embroidery, digital printing and promotional product projects. 

 

Vector Graphics (.ai, .fh, .eps, .svg)

• All text needs to be converted to outlines.

• All colors need to be converted to spot colors, preferably with Pantone (PMS) colors. Doing so will ensure that your art is printed correctly,using the correct color that you want. Some production methods use CMYK so the ultimate determination of ink color will be worked out on an individual art vs production basis. 

• Any Raster images linked (placed) in the document need to meet our requirements.

• Please remember that a Vector file must be created in a Vector editing program to be Vector art.

Raster Graphics (.tif, .psd, .png)

• The resolution of image must be at least 300 ppi (pixels per inch/dpi).

• The size of the image should be 100% or greater of the intended production size.

• Please don't sent art in JPEG or GIF formats.  These files are usually OK for websites but not high resolution enough for production/quality printing. 

• Certain types of graphics, such as logos with multiple colors, should not be created as Raster graphics. We can recreate these types of files as Vector graphics for you.

 

Sorry, Posh and Promo cannot accept Microsoft Word, Excel or Publisher files.

 

All screen printing, embroidery and promotional product artwork and logos should be provided via drop box/emailed to info@poshandpromo.com. CD or Flash/Thumbnail drive works too but isn't preferred and may incur additional charges to receive.
